Alexander (AJ) Smith joined the Core Industrial brokerage team as a results-driven real estate advisor in June 2026. He offers a full range of brokerage services, including tenant/buyer/owner representation, built-to-suit projects, site acquisitions, redevelopments, sale/leasebacks, and investment deals.
AJ earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance with a concentration in Real Estate from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he maintained a 3.9 GPA and was selected for the highly competitive Reichard Real Estate Academy.
Prior to brokerage, AJ gained transaction-focused experience at FTI Consulting, where he worked on asset-based lending engagements for middle market banks, performing collateral analysis and financial due diligence. He further developed his investment expertise through industrial real estate private equity training with Project Destined and is ARGUS Enterprise certified, with experience underwriting income-producing assets and evaluating key investment metrics.
